(I made use of my v. poor Dutch) It seems, that new version reduces in fact (?) to slight "visual tuning". What a disapointment !

Ger Nijkamp - 2008-05-01, 12:19 What could or should 'change'..? These are actual pictures of the car as it is in production. Nothing will change frome here on... Dacia has to move on. I understand that there is a group of 'early adopters' that would like to see everything stays the same. But let's face it; the current Logan wasn't even designed for the Western market. Dacia/Renault saw the immidiate succces of the Logan (MCV in particular) and is adjusting rapidly to this West-European market. Exactly as I suspected - if something is coming from you, definitely it's not only some remote probability...
Ad rem: I like old design more, too - not for some "smileness", but just for oryginality. I like bold, straight lines. New version is too rounded, too curved, too... modern - as so much many others cars. And naturally it's the reason for Dacia to make it so... More "mainstream". However I'm not sure it will reward as they expect. I think - and IMHO success of "old" models confirms that so far - that producer should rather upgrade equipment instead of design. And also almost every poll shows, that "target group" values practical things much more then appearance. I doubt very much that change of the latter will really widen customer base - especially, when one must wait so long for realizing his order. piotrres - 2008-05-08, 15:22
